Travellers To Malaysia Required To Fill Digital Arrival Card

Effective 1st January 2024, all international travellers entering Malaysia must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online before their arrival.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia has made the online form mandatory, with the exception of the following individuals:

  • All Singapore citizens
  • Diplomatic passport holders
  • Malaysian permanent residents & long-term pass holders
  • Brunei General Certificate of Identity holders
  • Brunei Malaysia Frequent Traveller Programme participants
  • Thailand Border Pass holders
  • Indonesian Cross-Border Pass holders

As per the Immigration Department's MDAC website, travellers must complete the digital card within three days prior to their scheduled arrival in Malaysia. The form requires personal details such as name, nationality, passport information, arrival and departure dates, mode of transportation (air, land, or sea), and the last port of embarkation.

Upon arrival, visitors must present their passports and the completed MDAC to the on-duty Immigration officer at the entry point.
