Local Radio Station, Kupikupifm, Konsert 2019

Just when everyone thought it would not happen this year, Kupikupifm announced that Konsert Kupikupifm will be back this year, only bigger and better! The concert, as part of its 4th anniversary celebration, will be held at Dewan Pusat Kebudayaan, Penampang this year on 14th December 2019. The concert starts from 6pm to 10pm and you’ll be happy to know that entrance is FREE, on a first come and first serve basis.

The artist line up for this year is looking good and strong, with performances by Unduk Ngadau 2018 winner Hosiani Keewon, up and coming local talent Popow, and Sabahan alternative rock band, Estranged, to name just a few. Headlining the concert will be D’Masiv, an award-winning rock band from Indonesia, with fans being able to get the chance to have a ‘Meet and Greet’ session with them.

The Konsert Kupikupifm 2019 is also an event of first times. This year, they will be working with RTM who have been supporting them since the start. Always behind the scenes supporting local talents, Kupikupifm hopes this collaboration will help to showcase RTM’s musical talents.

Of course, it’s not just the performances that are the highlight of the concert! There will also be Singgah Kupi Kupi, a food and fun carnival for families that will start from 12pm onwards. With over 20 vendors to choose from, foodies from all around Sabah will be in for a treat! Two lucky draw prizes, the Apple iPad Mini 4 and the Samsung 50’ UHD TV 7 Series being the grand prize, will be up for grabs by lucky winners! 

Mr Lester Calvin Miol, Station / Programme Manager of Kupikupifm, states that throughout the four years of holding the concert, he sees it as a platform for local artists to showcase their musical talents and for sponsors to scout new talents. The concert is also seen to give local artists the opportunity to perform on a bigger stage in front of a bigger crowd, which will help them gain experience and new knowledge.

“It’s such a blessing to have so much support from our fans out there throughout this year and we can’t think of a better way to say thank you by throwing this concert for the fans,” says Mr. Lester. “This one is for you guys!!... kita kita juga baini!”
