General Itinerary

DAY 1
Ethnic Cooking & Rumah Terbalik (Upside Down House)

  • Rise and grind, your pick-up awaits at the hotel lobby

    You will be whisked away on a 30-45minute journey to the countryside for your cook-out!

  • Arrive at the weird and wondrous Rumah Terbalik ( Upside Down House )

    Your world will be turned upside down as you enter this unique attraction

    You will be accompanied by a guide, that will explain to you’re the cultural elements within the house

  • Proceed to Mango Garden Restaurant for your cooking class.

  • After having some fun with food presentations, time to dive in and taste the fruits of your labour! Your meal will be accompanied with steamed white rice, dessert and drinks.

  • Certifications will be given out by the Restaurant

    Transfer back to your Kota Kinabalu Hotel

  • You will be cooking three types of dishes, from the different native Borneo tribes

    Hinava Salad (Fish Salad), Manuk Tinapah (BBQ Chicken in Local Herbs & Spices) & Kok Daeng Masak Timbul (Braised Fish Head with Herbs)

  • You will be guided all the way through by a Head Chef, that will explain the local produce used and also a little history behind every dish.
