Important Notes

Sipadan Island Diving (Optional & Not Included)

  • Permit Not Included: Sipadan Island diving permits are NOT included in this package.
  • Booking & Payment: Guests interested in diving Sipadan can attempt to book a permit directly with the resort upon arrival (subject to availability). Permit fees (approx. RM 450 per person, subject to change) are payable directly to the resort if a slot is secured.
  • Limited Availability: Sipadan permits are strictly limited by Sabah Parks and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Booking a permit is NOT guaranteed.
  • Diver Requirement: A minimum certification of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent) is required to dive at Sipadan Island.

  • From Tawau to Semporna: 8:00AM / 10:30AM
  • From Semporna to Tawau: 12:30PM / 2:30PM

Resort Information & Fees

  • Check-In: 2:30 PM / Check-Out: 11:30 AM
  • Tourism Tax (TTx): Non-Malaysian tourists pay MYR 10 per room per night directly to the resort. Malaysians/Permanent Residents exempt with valid ID.
  • Semporna Jetty Fee: Payable directly at the jetty (approx. MYR 10 Adult / MYR 5 Child, subject to change).
  • Optional Activities: Island hopping, kayaking etc. may incur extra charges.

General Information

  • For safety reasons, diving on arrival or departure days is not permitted, and a 24-hour no-fly rule applies for divers before boarding a flight. 
  • Boat Journey Suitability: The boat journey can be bumpy. Not recommended for pregnant women, infants, or guests with serious heart, lung, back, or recent surgery issues. Consult your doctor if concerned.
  • Responsible Tourism: Follow guide instructions. Do not touch or remove marine life. Practice safe snorkeling/diving. Participation may be revoked if safety is compromised.
  • Personal Belongings: Secure your valuables. Lockers may not be available on excursions. The resort/operator is not liable for lost items.
  • Insurance: Personal travel and dive accident insurance are highly recommended.
  • Tipping: Gratuities for guides, boat crew, and resort staff are not expected but are always appreciated for excellent service.
