Escape to Bunga Raya Island Resort for a beach and rainforest getaway just off Kota Kinabalu. Set along Polish Bay on Gaya Island, its timber villas sit between the forested hillside and the sea, giving you an island setting within easy reach of the city.
Choose a one-bedroom villa for a couples’ getaway or a spacious two or three-bedroom villa for a stay with family or friends. Depending on your chosen category, you could have extra living space, a villa set among the trees or a private plunge pool.
Take your time at the beach or infinity pool, explore the rainforest trails, or make use of the resort’s snorkelling equipment, kayaks and paddleboards at no additional charge. Spa treatments and scuba diving are also available as optional add-ons at an additional cost. With daily breakfast and scheduled return boat transfers included, you can settle in and enjoy your time on the island.

Important Notes
Boat Transfers
- The scheduled boat departs Jesselton Point South Jetty at 12:30PM on check-in day and the resort at 11:00AM on check-out day.
- Please arrive at the resort’s reception lounge at Jesselton Point at least 30 minutes before boat departure.
- Boat transfers should be booked at least seven days in advance. Transfers outside the scheduled times require a private boat charter at additional cost.
Villa Stay and Activities
- Villa check-in is from 3:00PM and check-out is by 11:00AM.
- Use of the resort’s non-motorised water equipment, including snorkelling equipment, kayaks and paddleboards, is free during your stay.
- Spa treatments and scuba diving are optional add-ons at additional cost.
- Extra beds and additional guests are subject to the selected villa’s occupancy limit and may incur additional charges.
Fees
- Applicable tourism tax and Sabah Parks conservation fee are excluded from the villa rate and collected directly by the resort.
