Overview

The bungalows of Sepilok Nature Resort is nestled within ancient tropical rainforests, surrounded by orchids in bloom and towering tropical trees. The resort is also walking distance to the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, which is the last home of the wild orang-utans of North Borneo. The Sepilok Nature Resort is the ideal starting point for many wildlife and diving adventures as it is close to the Kinabatangan River and the Sukau area as well as to Lankayan Island.

General Itinerary

DAY 1
Sandakan / Sepilok Nature Resort / Kebili-Sepilok Forest Reserve / Sepilok Forest Trails

    • Pick up from Sandakan Airport and transfer to Sepilok Nature Resort.

  • Another half hour drive to Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve

    A short video about the reserve will be shown at the Nature Education Centre

  • After the reserve, lunch will be at the resort

    Free and easy session for the rest of the day with an Orang Utan feeding session at mid-afternoon

  • In the evening, head on a guided tour into the Sepilok Forest Trails.

  • After the tour, dinner and overnight at Sepilok Nature Resort.

DAY 2
Sepilok Nature Resort / Sandakan

    • Breakfast

  • Transfer to Sandakan Airport or Sandakan hotel.
