Overview

This 2D1N tour brings together some of Sabah's most well-known wildlife attractions, with an overnight stay deep in the rainforest at Tanini Kinabatangan Lodge. Set in Kampung Bilit and accessible only by boat, the lodge has a small, village-style character rather than that of a large resort, with eco-conscious practices built into how it operates.

The tour begins in Sandakan, with stops at Sepilok to see rescued orangutans and the Sun Bear Centre to learn about the world’s smallest bear species. From there, guests travel to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary, one of Southeast Asia's richest wildlife habitats and one of the best places in Borneo to spot the Big 5: proboscis monkeys, hornbills, saltwater crocodiles and the elusive pygmy elephant.

With two guided river cruises, a night walk, and a stay at a jungle lodge, this tour fits a substantial wildlife experience into a short two-day trip.
