Important Notes

• Pricing: All prices shown are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are typically for the standard shared tour.
• Standard Tour (Shared Basis): Unless you select the upgrade, this tour operates on a shared (join-in) basis. This means you will share the guide and transportation with other guests.
• Private Tour Upgrade Available: For more privacy and flexibility, a Private Tour option is available as an add-on during booking. This provides a dedicated vehicle and guide just for your group, allowing for a more personalized experience (subject to additional cost).
• Pick-up Time: Tour timings are approximate and depend on the operator and whether you've booked a shared or private tour. Your exact hotel pick-up time will be confirmed after booking.
• Delays: If your transport is significantly delayed, please call the contact number provided on your booking voucher before making other arrangements.
• Itinerary Changes: While we aim to follow the itinerary, the Tour Operator reserves the right to change routes, timings, or cancel activities if necessary due to weather, safety conditions, or other factors beyond our control. This applies to both shared and private tours, although private tours may offer slightly more flexibility in discussion with the guide.
• Single-Use Plastic Bag Usage: Effective 1 January 2026, the use of single-use plastic bags is strictly prohibited in all Sabah Parks. This policy is implemented to safeguard the natural environment and protect both marine and forest ecosystems from pollution and long-term harm. Visitors are required to bring their own reusable eco bags when entering any Sabah Parks area.

Remarks: Please be informed that the Poring Canopy Walkway at Poring Substation, Kinabalu Park, Ranau will be temporarily closed from 30th July 2025 until further notice for major maintenance work.

What to Expect & Prepare

• Kinabalu Park Climate: Kinabalu Park is at high altitude (around 1500m) and can be chilly, especially in the morning or if it rains. Please bring a light jacket or sweater.
• Crowds: Weekends and public holidays are popular times for locals and tourists, so expect more people at attractions during these periods.
• Poring Canopy Walk:
• This involves an uphill walk to the start point.
• The walkway is high (over 30 meters/100 feet). It is not recommended for guests with significant mobility issues, heart conditions, high blood pressure, or a strong fear of heights.
• Last entry is typically around 3:00 PM (Poring Hot Spring area opens approx. 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily).
• Waiting Areas: If you prefer not to participate in certain walks (like the Canopy Walk), you can usually wait at designated resting areas.

Optional Costs & Activities (Not Included in Tour Price)

• Poring Hot Spring Tubs:
• Public Outdoor Tubs: Usage usually requires a small fee per tub (approx. MYR 10).
• Private Indoor Tubs (Standard/Deluxe): Available for hourly rental at extra cost (subject to availability).
• Poring Slide Pool: Closed on Mondays for maintenance. Entrance requires a separate fee (approx. MYR 3 per person) payable on-site.
• Canopy Walk Camera Fees: A fee applies if you bring a camera (approx. MYR 5) or video camera (approx. MYR 30) onto the walkway.
• Rafflesia Sighting (If Available): Seeing a Rafflesia flower depends entirely on its rare blooming cycle (lasting only a few days). If blooming nearby (usually in private gardens), an entrance fee (approx. MYR 30 per person) is payable directly to the landowner at your own expense. Sighting is not guaranteed.
• Tips: Tipping your guide and driver is optional and not expected, but always appreciated for excellent service.
