Overview

Embark on an exclusive dive expedition to Layang-Layang Atoll, a remote coral ring set 300 km off Kota Kinabalu in the South China Sea. Operated by Mawali Adventures, this once-a-year voyage combines frontier diving with refined comfort aboard the 56-foot catamaran SY Mawali, featuring air-conditioned en-suite cabins, spacious decks, and chef-prepared meals. 

Between March and May (when sea conditions are calm and visibility reaches 30–50 metres) divers enjoy 4–5 full days of world-class diving across sites such as The Point, Dogtooth Lair, and Gorgonian Forest. With no other dive operators in the area, you’ll experience complete solitude beneath the surface: just your group, pristine reefs, and open blue waters alive with schooling hammerheads, eagle rays, and giant trevallies.
