Diving Activities & Schedule

  • Typical Mabul/Kapalai Dive Times: 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:00 PM
  • Sipadan Trip Schedule (If booked with Sipadan Package):
  • Departs approx. 6:00 AM, returns approx. 1:00 PM.
  • Includes 2 boat dives at Sipadan + 1 boat dive at Mabul/Kapalai.
  • House Reef Diving: Unlimited unguided dives available at the resort's house reef during daylight hours (must dive with a buddy).
  • Night Diving (Optional): Available at the house reef only (must dive with a buddy).
  • Requires minimum Advanced Open Water (AOW) certification.
  • Latest water exit time: 7:30 PM.
  • Diver Requirements:

Annual Temporary Conservation Break at Sipadan Island

To help preserve Sipadan’s world-famous marine ecosystem, the island observes its annual conservation break from 1–30 November each year for a period of natural recuperation.

During this time, diving activities at Sipadan will be paused, but the surrounding island resorts remain fully open — guests can still enjoy beautiful dive sites and island excursions in Tun Sakaran Marine Park.

Diving at Sipadan Island will resume on 1 December.

Important Notes

  • Boat Journey Suitability: Boat transfers involve travel on open water and may not be suitable for guests with certain pre-existing conditions (e.g., serious heart/lung issues, recent major surgery, severe back/spinal problems). Please consult your doctor if concerned.
  • Protect Your Belongings: Bring waterproof bags or cases for electronics and valuables, as things can get wet on boats.
  • Sun Protection: Pack high SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for protection against strong tropical sun.

Optional Activities (Subject to Fees & Availability)

  • Island Hopping Trip: Can be arranged for groups (min. 4 pax staying min. 3 nights). Subject to conservation fees (approx. MYR 70/pax) and guide fees (approx. MYR 50/guide for up to 6 pax).
