Sabah Tourism Board (STB) has officially announced Ms Victoria Engku as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), welcoming a new leader as the state looks ahead to Visit Sabah 2027.
In its announcement, the board congratulated Engku on her appointment and expressed its hopes for her leadership in strengthening Sabah's tourism industry and promoting the state as a travel destination.
The appointment comes as Sabah continues efforts to attract domestic and international travellers, with preparations underway to showcase more of the state's natural attractions, cultural heritage and tourism experiences.
Sabah Tourism Board works closely with tourism operators and industry partners to showcase the state's diverse attractions and experiences.
From rainforest adventures and wildlife encounters to island escapes and cultural experiences, Sabah continues to position itself as a destination for nature, adventure and culture.
These strengths are also central to Visit Sabah 2027, which aims to encourage tourism growth while creating more opportunities for local businesses and communities.
Preparations for the upcoming campaign include efforts to strengthen tourism promotion, develop new experiences and expand opportunities for community-based tourism operators.
The state is also placing greater emphasis on collaboration across the tourism industry, helping ensure that tourism development benefits both visitors and the communities that welcome them.
Engku's appointment marks a leadership transition for Sabah Tourism Board as the organisation continues its preparations for Visit Sabah 2027 and supports the state's wider tourism development efforts.
