Overview

The Borneo International Pickleball Open 2026 brings competitive pickleball to Sabah for three days of high-level play, from 16–18 October 2026 at The Good Club in Kota Kinabalu. Open to both local and overseas players, it's one of the largest international pickleball tournaments held in the city, with a total prize pool of RM29,700 up for grabs.

The tournament runs across three divisions to suit different skill levels. Open Mixed Doubles carries the biggest individual prize pool at RM8,700, while the Intermediate Division (DUPR 3.999 and below) and Novice Division (DUPR 3.299 and below) each run Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles categories, with RM14,700 and RM6,300 in prizes respectively.

Whether you're an experienced competitor or trying your first tournament, this event offers a genuine chance to test yourself against a wide field of players, with Kota Kinabalu as the backdrop for the weekend.

Registration Information Required

  • All tournament categories are doubles events, and each booking represents one team consisting of two players.
  • During registration, the following information will be required for both players:

  • IC / Passport Number
  • Both players' information, including their IC/Passport number, is required for tournament administration, player verification, communication and eligibility confirmation.

Event Schedule

  • The tournament will take place over 3 days from 16–18 October 2026.
  • The detailed match schedule and court arrangements will be provided to registered participants by the Organising Committee.
  • Please note: The official programme and match arrangements are tentative and may be changed at the discretion of the Organising Committee.

Important Information

  • All tournament categories are doubles events.
  • Each booking is for one team of two players.
  • Participants must register under the appropriate category based on the applicable eligibility requirements.
  • The Intermediate Division is for players with DUPR 3.999 and below.
  • The Novice Division is for players with DUPR 3.299 and below, and previous podium winners are not permitted.
  • The Open Mixed Doubles category is subject to the tournament's Open Division eligibility requirements.
  • Registration is confirmed upon successful payment of the applicable registration fee.
  • Participants are responsible for providing accurate information during registration.

Cancellation Policy

  • Registration fees are generally non-refundable once registration has been confirmed, subject to the Organising Committee's final cancellation and refund policy.
  • Any request for player replacement, team changes or registration amendments will be subject to approval by the Organising Committee.
  • In the event that a category is cancelled or suspended due to insufficient entries, participants will be informed of the available arrangements.
  • All decisions made by the Organising Committee shall be final.
