The highest mountain in south east Asia. Good climb.

Enjoy the magnificent view along the way from base camp to the summit under the starry night.  The route is clean and well maintained, with good facilities ready. The descent is a challenging, quite steep, need to be extra careful.

Have been up the peak for the first time. Was a humbling experience as it had really pushed my to my limit. Breathtaking view from above

Lovely to wander around the trails however it was difficult to follow and complete one... We ended up doing parts of two different trails because the sign posts stopped and the map provided isn't very clear!
The botanical garden is worth a visit, we enjoyed trying to spot all of the orchids and plants listed on the map. Good to note its RM15 to enter the park and then a further RM5 to go into the botanical garden. In between our 2 hour trail walk and going to the botanical gardens it rained heavily so we enjoyed a coffee at the buffet restaurant which was also nice. The toilets there are very clean.

Magnificent view of Allah's creation...hiking to the peak of the mountain is a superb experience and one of the beautiful journey of my life.

Best experience ever. Train before you climb. Get the right gear. This place is no joke.

Love this place. Cooling weather, plenty of trails to hike/trek. There is also a botanical garden if you’d like to have a look at different types of flora. It is very well-maintained and clean. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended here. The park is huge and entrance fees only a few RM. well worth a visit even if you are not climbing Mount Kinabalu!

<h4>Pick-Up</h4><p>6:00AM - 7:00AM: Pick-up from your hotel lobby and depart on a 2 hrs journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarter. Collect your packed lunch.</p><h4>Registration</h4><p>9:00AM: Our guide will arrange for all necessary registrations, assign you a mountain guide and apply for your ID TAG. Remember to wear your ID TAG at all times.</p><h4>Timpohon Gate</h4><p>You'll then be transferred to starting point – Timpohon Gate – where your journey and quest to the summit of Borneo’s highest mountain begins! The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours. The trek will pass by different vegetation zones from Oak and Chestnut to mossy and eventually to alpine type of vegetations.</p><h4>Panalaban Base Camp</h4><p>Arrive Panalaban Base Camp @ 3272m and check into your accommodation.</p><h4>Dinner</h4><p>Buffet Dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant and overnight.</p>

Kinabalu if weather permits.</p><h4>Descend &amp; Breakfast</h4><p>7:00AM: Descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for late breakfast and check out.</p><h4>Timpohon Gate</h4><p>Trek down to Timpohon Gate for transfer back to the Kinabalu Park Headquarter (est. arrival 1300hrs to 1500hrs).
