Important Notes
- For Bohey Dulang Hike:
- The Bohey Dulang hike is an optional add-on and is not included in the standard package.
- The Bohey Dulang hike involves a 600m uphill trail with steep sections. Not suitable for those with mobility issues.
- Sneakers or hiking boots are COMPULSORY for hiking. Sandals, flip-flops, and croc slippers are strictly not allowed. Sabah Parks has the right to ban hikers with improper footwear.
- The shoe rental kiosk is no longer operating, so please remember to bring your own shoes.
- Due to the limited number of rangers available, the waiting time can be 1-2 hours, depending on the time it took for the other groups to return to the foothill.
- Children below 6 years old are not allowed to join the hiking activity.
- The snorkel sites selected for Day 2 – Mabul, Kapalai, Mataking, Timba-Timba, or Pandanan Reef – depends on sea conditions, weather, and logistical planning. Guests do not visit all five locations.
- No breakfast or dinner included in this package. Only packed lunches are provided on Day 2 and Day 3. Breakfasts and dinners are at your own expense. Local eateries are available within walking distance of the guesthouse.
- A mandatory Tourism Tax (TTx) of RM 10/night/pax is payable by international guests upon check-in.
- Entrance fees to Timba-Timba Island and Mabul Island’s resort area are not included in this package and must be paid by the guest upon arrival:
- Timba-Timba: RM10
- Mabul resort area: RM50
- This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, elderly people with mobility issues, or individuals with heart, respiratory, or other serious medical conditions. Guests over 70 years old must provide a signed health declaration and be accompanied.
- This package is based on a join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private guide or tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform your tour operator when making the bookings.
- The departure time may vary slightly depending on your hotel location and traffic conditions. We recommend reconfirming with our staff for the exact timing. If your transport is delayed, please contact the number listed on your voucher before arranging alternative options.
- All activities are weather-dependent and may be adjusted to ensure the best possible experience under current conditions.
- Your tour operator reserves the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation should conditions beyond their control render it necessary.
- All participants must pay attention to all safety briefings and instructions. It is the responsibility of all participants to seek clarification for anything not understood from these briefings.
