Explore the heart of Borneo with our 3-day, 2-night Leaf Circuit Trek Adventure, a journey deep into the untouched natural beauty and vibrant local culture of the Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve. You will traverse pristine landscapes, from rainforests to rivers, and connect deeply with local traditions and the welcoming communities of Longkugungan, Kalangaan, Pitomuan, and Tugudon.
Your journey begins with a scenic hike through pristine forests, following ridgelines and river paths to reach the remote village of Longkugungan. The adventure continues as you explore further into Crocker Range, hiking to either Kalangaan or Pitomuan. Each step offers a chance to absorb the serene environment, from the gentle flow of rivers to the expansive paddy fields that define the landscape.
The final day culminates with a hike to Tugudon, where you will enjoy a traditional linopot lunch by the river before heading back to Kota Kinabalu. Throughout the trip, engage with the locals, learn about their ways of life, and enjoy the unique opportunity to stay in authentic village homes, experiencing firsthand the warmth and hospitality of Borneo’s Kadazan Dusun indigenous community. Important Notes
- Minimum 2 pax adults required to book. Maximum 6 pax per booking.
- This package is based on a join-in basis of a shared guide. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform your tour operator when making your bookings.
- Bookings must be made one (1) month in advance.
- Your safety is always the top priority. Should weather conditions deem it unsafe to proceed with this activity, your tour operator reserves the right to change or cancel the activity. If your tour operator cancels the tour for other reasons not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of:
- A substitute tour of the equivalent or superior value
- A substitute tour of lesser value if no tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available, and recover the difference in price from your tour operator
- A credit note for the cancelled tour for future booking
- No reimbursements, discounts or refunds will be issued for services that are missed or unused after tour departure due to no fault of your tour operator, e.g. your removal from a tour due to your negligence or breach of the terms and conditions.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made by guests, except in the event of extenuating circumstances.
- Your tour operator reserves the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation should conditions beyond their control render it necessary.
- All participants must pay attention to their instructors’ equipment briefing, safety briefing, safety warnings, and instructions. It is the responsibility of all participants to seek clarification for anything not understood from these briefings.
- Transfers outside of Kota Kinabalu city will incur additional charges:
